Job Summary:

Join our dedicated healthcare team as an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a critical 3-month long-term assignment at our Hospital location in Mequon, Wisconsin. The RN will provide high-quality, emergent care to a diverse patient population within the fast-paced Emergency Department and manage back-bedded patients as necessary. This is a vital role with a focus on patient stabilization and efficient care coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, specialized nursing care to critically ill and injured patients in the Emergency Department (ED).
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize immediate needs, and initiate appropriate interventions based on established protocols.
• Manage patient flow within the ED, including care for both emergency patients and patients boarded in the department awaiting inpatient beds.
• Accurately document all patient care, assessments, and interventions using the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated and continuous patient care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and trauma nursing principles.
• Willingness to float within the Emergency Department skill set onsite or to other facility sites within a 40-mile radius as operational needs require.

Schedule & Assignment Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours (18:00 to 06:30) 36hours/Week (48hours can be requested)
• Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Must work Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Every Other Holiday (EOH).
• On-Call: Not required.

Required Qualifications:

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant experience working as an RN in an Emergency Room setting.
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system.
• Ability to commit to the entire contract duration (12/21/2025 – 03/21/2026).
