Position Overview

Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join a high-acuity pediatric team supporting infants and children with both acute and chronic respiratory conditions across the hospital. This role is eligible for full-time benefits and a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
 

Schedule

• 36 hours per week
• Rotating day/night shifts
• Every 3rd weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory care and assisted ventilation for infants and children with acute and chronic disease states.
• Apply and monitor mechanical ventilation.
• Provide respiratory care in critical care, inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
• Deliver patient care in assigned clinical areas and complete associated clinical duties.
• Communicate clearly with the interdisciplinary care team, patients/families, and coworkers.
• Participate in professional development with opportunities for advancement — including ECMO specialist pathway.

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Science Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — National Board for Respiratory Care
• Licensed Respiratory Therapist — State of Massachusetts

Preferred (Not Required)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• One or more years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience in a tertiary hospital
• New grads are encouraged to apply
• NICU / PICU experience
• Certifications: NPS, PALS, NRP, ACLS
