Registered Nurse - ICU
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, contract (13-17 weeks), night shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in an ICU setting, including neuro, respiratory failure, hemodynamic instability, post-transplant, and other high-acuity units.
• Float between ICU and overflow units such as MS, Telemetry, PCU, PACU, and step-down units as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments including IV starts, ventilator support, ICP monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Perform EKG exams and ensure compliance with all clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience, including hospital and PA line experience.
• Valid ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification.
• Experience with vents, IV starts, ICP monitoring, telemetry, and PA lines (must pass EKG exam during orientation).
• Ability to work nights and participate in hospital holiday coverage.
• Must be able to pass EKG exam on first day of orientation.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• CCRN certification.
• Experience in Level I Trauma centers.
• Charge nurse experience.
• Transplant ICU experience, particularly with transplant patient populations.
