Job Description – RN PCU Float

Hours: 36 or 48-hour guarantee
Experience Required: Minimum 1 year – first-time travelers accepted
Patient Population: Adults through geriatrics

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIH

Unit Types & Skills:

Must be able to care for all typical Med-Surg, MS/Tele, and PCU patient diagnoses
Float required to all MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units within the hospital

Ratios:

PCU: 1:4–5
MS / MS Tele: 1:5–6

Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR
Scrub Color: Navy blue

RTO: Up to 7 days max
Weekends: Every other weekend (about 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
Floating: Required
Call Requirements: None
