Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult patients with a wide range of medical conditions in an acute care setting. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor vital signs, labs, diagnostics, and patient condition changes
• Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and treatments as prescribed
• Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for surgical patients
• Provide wound care, catheter care, NG/PEG care, and ostomy care
• Educate patients and families on illness, medications, procedures, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and support staff to coordinate care
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
• Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state-specific)
• Minimum 2 year of Med-Surg experience preferred
• BLS required (ACLS preferred)
• Strong assessment, time-management, and communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
