Job description:

• Position: RN
• Unit : MS/Tele
• Shift: Nights, 4 x 12-Hour (36 hours also available)
• Duration: 13 week
• Location: Maryville, IL 62062.
• Start date: 01/05/2026

Travel Pay Rate: (above 50 miles)

• Hourly:$40/hr W2 + $1,246/week (non - taxable stipend)
• Gross:$3,326/weekly

Local Pay Rate: (within 50 miles)
Hourly: $60 (per hour)
Gross: $3,120/week

Position Summary:

The Med-Surg/Telemetry Registered Nurse provides comprehensive, evidence-based care to adult patients with diverse medical conditions requiring continuous assessment and cardiac monitoring. The RN is responsible for managing multiple patients, administering medications, monitoring telemetry rhythms, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, and interpret telemetry rhythms for early recognition of abnormalities.
• Administer IV medications, oral medications, and continuous drips per provider orders.
• Manage patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, post-surgical recovery, cardiac monitoring, and general medical needs.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, including rapid response or code situations.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, case management, respiratory therapy, and allied health teams.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR (Epic/Cerner/Meditech depending on facility).
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain infection-prevention standards, safe medication practices, and hospital policies.
• Manage a typical patient load of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and patient flow management.

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license of IL
• BLS, ACLS required;
• Minimum 2 years of recent MS/Tele experience.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, fetal monitoring, and perinatal care.
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and critical-thinking abilities.
