Job Description: MRI Technologist – Travel Assignment

Overview

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 20-week travel assignment in Stockbridge, GA. This role requires a minimum of 1 year of MRI experience (first-time travelers not accepted) and strong technical skills across a wide range of imaging procedures. Candidates must be able to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.

Shift: Night, 4x10-hour (19:30–06:00), Monday–Thursday block schedule
Start Date: December 15, 2025
Duration: 20 weeks
Patient Population: Pediatrics through geriatrics
Daily Caseload: 15–25 patients in a single MRI room
Weekends: Every other weekend, unless otherwise specified
Floating: None
On-Call Requirement: Yes
RTO: Maximum of 7 days off during assignment
Scrub Color: Pewter Gray or Black
Locals: Accepted

Responsibilities

Perform MRI scans on inpatient, ER, and outpatient populations following Piedmont protocols and policies
Conduct imaging across body, neuro, extremities, abdominal, pelvic, and angiogram studies (excluding cardiac; breast and pacemaker scans limited to weekdays)
Start IVs, administer contrast, and utilize PACS systems
Collaborate with technologists, nurses, physicians, and transport staff to maintain a positive and productive work environment
Document patient care and imaging procedures using Epic, GE, and Siemens systems
Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
Major Holidays are listed below:
New Year’s Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 31 and Thursday, January 1
Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
Independence Day: Friday, July 4
Labor Day: Monday, September 1
Thanksgiving/Black Friday: Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28
Christmas Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25

Qualifications

ARRT (R) certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year MRI experience (inpatient experience required; outpatient-only experience not accepted)
Proficiency with Epic, GE, and Siemens systems
Strong technical and communication skills

Compliance & Screening

Full compliance required to start on time; non-compliance may delay start by 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule
Clinical screening will be conducted to confirm fit; final approval by manager
