Description

Title- Operating Room Technician (Surgical Technologist)
Facility name- UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital
Location- 179 N Broad St, Norwich, NY 13815, United States
Shift- Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks
Pay Term- Weekly (By Every Friday)
Benefits: Paid orientation & sick leave (13)

W2-$17/hr

Job Description:

Certifications (Required — one of the following):

NCCT – Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C), OR
NBSTSA – Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), OR
National Healthcareer Association equivalent certification
BLS required.

Preferred Skills & Experience

Prior Operating Room experience.
Prior Surgical Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate expertise in infection control and surgical scrub technique.
Maintain sterile technique during all operative phases.
Assist surgeons with gowning, gloving, draping, and passing of surgical instruments.
Anticipate surgeon needs regarding instruments, sutures, and equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized operative field.
Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, tapes, dissectors, and instruments.
