Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg Travel Assignment

Location: Pittsfield, MA 

Start Date: December 15, 2025

Duration: 13 weeks 

Shift: 12-hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 36 hours/week 

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Med Surg Travel RN to join our team. This assignment requires flexibility, strong clinical skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in Med Surg units (20–34 beds, 1:6 ratio)
• Float to any Med Surg unit as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient outcomes
• Adhere to facility policies, including holiday coverage and scheduling requirements
• Complete orientation (8 hours, non-billable) prior to assignment start

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Med Surg experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Willingness to float – required
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly preferred
• Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
• Current certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS – must be uploaded with profile
• Massachusetts RN license in hand at profile upload (facility will not pend license)
• Own vehicle required for assignment
• Permanent address must be included in profile (facility will not consider candidates residing within 50 miles)

Submission Requirements

• Work history and skills checklist (updated within 1 year)
• One supervisory signed reference (within past 2 years)
• License and certifications uploaded with profile
• At least two specific interview dates/times (profiles without this will not be presented)
• Requested time off (RTO) must be noted at upload; no more than 5 days accepted
• Holiday coverage: must work one of the following
  • Christmas Eve/Christmas Day and Friday/weekend after
  • New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day and Friday/weekend after
• Extensions ending in November or before December holidays will not be considered for early 2026
