Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Location: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital (NNRH) – Elko, NV Type: Travel Assignment

Overview

Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital in Elko, NV is seeking experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel assignments. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical and surgical needs, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Medical/Surgical unit
Conduct patient assessments, monitor progress, and document care accurately
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery goals, and discharge instructions
Support patients in achieving optimal health outcomes through therapeutic interventions
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nevada (or compact license eligible)
Minimum of 2 years of recent medical/surgical nursing experience in an acute care setting
Strong clinical assessment and patient advocacy skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
Experience with electronic medical records systems; Meditech experience preferred
Required Education: Associates of Nursing

Assignment Details

Contract length: 13 weeks, with potential for extension
Shifts Available:
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)
Weekend and holiday coverage may be required
