EMG Technologist – Hospital Neurodiagnostic Opportunity
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19107
Weekly Pay: $1,625/week (Travel)
Local Rate: $33.75/hour
Hours: 40 hours/week
Contract Length: 8 weeks (potential extension)
Start Date: December 15, 2025
GHR Healthcare is seeking an experienced EMG Technologist to join a respected hospital system in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. Position Overview:
As an EMG Technologist, you will support physicians and the neurodiagnostic team in delivering accurate, high-quality electromyography and nerve conduction studies in both lab and bedside settings. This onsite role offers stability, professional growth, and the opportunity to contribute to a leading Pennsylvania healthcare facility.
Responsibilities:
- Perform nerve conduction studies and assist physicians with needle EMG examinations
- Support procedures in both laboratory and bedside patient settings
- Prepare, assemble, disassemble, and maintain EMG equipment for each patient
- Ensure strong accuracy in electrode placement and operation of neurodiagnostic equipment
- Record, interpret, and distinguish normal versus abnormal responses
- Document all procedures in the electronic health record system and support billing workflows
- Assist with monthly statistics and departmental reporting
- Provide training and mentorship to co-workers and students as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMG Technologist or Neurodiagnostic Technologist
- Strong working knowledge of anatomy, EMG procedures, and patient history review
- Proficient with EHR systems and MS Office
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary staff
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability in a hospital environment
