Description

  • Ratios: Acuity-based; typically 1:3
  • 3-patient assignment = lower-acuity cases (e.g., HHF or similar)
  • New trauma = 1:1, transitioning to 1:2 when stable
  • Experience Required:
  • 2 years PICU experience
  • Charge experience (required – hard stop)
  • Level II Trauma experience required
  • First Timers: Yes
    Weekend Requirement: Up to every weekend
    Certifications: CO or Compact RN license, ACLS, BLS, PALS
    On-Call: Yes – 1 mandatory on-call shift per 4-week schedule (rarely called in)
    Floating: None – manages only Peds & PICU
    Charting: EPIC
