Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical competency in cardiac catheterization procedures and the ability to respond quickly to emergent situations. This role requires frequent on-call coverage and the flexibility to work consecutive weekends as needed. A current Hawaii RN license is required prior to the start of the assignment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional cardiology cases
Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure patient care
Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and support sedation management
Respond to emergent cases as part of frequent on-call rotation
Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary teams
Document all patient care accurately in the Cerner EMR system
Maintain adherence to safety protocols, sterile technique, and regulatory standards
Support patient/family education and discharge planning
Adapt to variable workloads, including weekend and emergency call coverage

Requirements

Active Hawaii RN license required before assignment start
Minimum 5 years of RN experience, preferably in Cath Lab or high-acuity cardiac settings
Current ACLS and BLS certifications (additional certifications listed are preferred)
Ability to take frequent on-call and work consecutive weekends
Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, procedural support, and emergency response
Not a bilingual-required position
EMR experience required (Cerner preferred)
Maximum of 3 candidate submissions allowed
