Clinical Duties • Perform and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of the radiologist. • Prepare procedure rooms and equipment, ensuring readiness for both scheduled and emergent cases. • Operate angiographic and fluoroscopic imaging systems in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. • Position, monitor, and support patients throughout procedures, maintaining comfort and adherence to protocols. • Document all procedures accurately in EPIC Radiant or the applicable RIS/PACS system. • Follow all radiation safety guidelines and sterile technique protocols. • Participate in quality assurance activities, equipment calibration, and image-quality evaluations. On-Call Responsibilities • Remain immediately available by phone or pager during on-call hours (7p–7a). • Respond to emergency call-ins within department-mandated timeframes (typically within 30 minutes). • Provide imaging support for emergent IR procedures such as trauma embolizations, drain placements, and central line insertions. • Record all call-in activity for administrative and payroll documentation. Team & Operational Support • Collaborate with interventional radiologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughput. • Maintain procedural inventory and restock supplies to support subsequent shifts. • Contribute to ongoing quality, safety, and process improvement initiatives. • Uphold departmental standards for patient care, professionalism, and confidentiality.
