Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)

We are seeking an experienced ICU RN to join our critical care team in a high acuity, fast paced hospital setting. The ICU RN provides continuous assessment, complex interventions, and life sustaining care for critically ill adult patients.

Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments and ongoing monitoring for critically ill patients
• Manage ventilators, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring in collaboration with providers and respiratory therapy
• Titrate vasoactive and sedation infusions per protocol and provider orders
• Administer medications, blood products, and advanced therapies safely and accurately
• Recognize and respond quickly to clinical deterioration and participate in rapid response and code events
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to plan and coordinate individualized patient care
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment, and goals of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record

Requirements
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum of two years of recent ICU or critical care RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association
• Strong critical thinking, advanced cardiac monitoring, and prioritization skills
• Comfortable caring for ventilated patients and managing vasoactive infusions in a high acuity environment
