Job Summary

The Clinical NPD Educator Advanced is an expert nursing education specialist responsible for driving professional competence, continuous learning, and practice excellence across the organization. This role leads the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based educational programs using an advanced systems model, aligned with the ANPD Practice Model and organizational goals. The Educator partners with staff and leadership to translate evidence into high-quality, safe patient care and advance the Nursing Professional Practice Model.

Core Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Conduct comprehensive needs assessments (analyzing regulatory, clinical, and safety data) to identify practice gaps. Design, implement, and evaluate educational plans, curricula (e.g., onboarding, competency programs), and resources, applying advanced adult learning principles and calculating ROI.
• Consultation & Collaboration: Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant to staff, leaders, and interprofessional teams to improve practice and outcomes. Act as a Change Agent, supporting shared governance, performance improvement, and mentoring other nurses and educators.
• Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) & Innovation: Champion the integration of EBP, nursing research, and quality improvement. Ensure all educational content aligns with professional standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements (e.g., TJC). Develop creative solutions and secure technology for professional development.
• Clinical Support: Maintain and apply current clinical practice standards and the Nursing Process in a functional clinical role to support patient care delivery and ensure safe, quality patient outcomes as an interdisciplinary team member.

Required: BSN

Preferred: MSN

Experience

Required: Min. 5 years of nursing experience AND experience in an educator role.

Note: May support multiple facilities/specialties.

License/Certifications

Required Upon Hire: Active, unrestricted RN License (Single State or Compact) AND BLS.

Preferred: ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification/instructor status (based on specialty).

Required Skills

Strong understanding of adult learning theories, advanced computer skills, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and collaborative abilities for effective training delivery and crisis management.
