Job Title: Travel RN – Behavioral Health Facility: Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PMOverview: Twin County Regional Hospital is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Behavioral Health unit. The ideal candidate will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to individuals with psychiatric and behavioral health needs, ensuring safety, therapeutic support, and effective treatment in a structured environment.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.</li><li>Administer medications and monitor patient responses.</li><li>Provide therapeutic interventions and support for patients experiencing behavioral health crises.</li><li>Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.</li><li>Document patient care accurately in electronic health records.</li><li>Educate patients and families on treatment plans, coping strategies, and discharge instructions.</li><li>Maintain a safe and supportive environment, adhering to hospital policies and safety standards.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Current RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state eligibility.</li><li>Minimum of 2 years of recent Behavioral Health/Psychiatric nursing experience required.</li><li>BLS certification required; CPI or equivalent crisis intervention training preferred.</li><li>Strong communication, de-escalation, and therapeutic engagement skills.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment.</li></ul>Assignment Details:<ul><li>Travel contract position</li><li>Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM</li></ul>
