Description

Cardiovascular Operating Room Registered Nurse (CVOR RN)

The CVOR RN provides specialized perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures in a high acuity surgical environment.

Responsibilities
• Circulate and, where applicable, scrub for cardiovascular surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and sterile technique
• Prepare the room, equipment, and instruments for CV and thoracic procedures and assist the surgical team throughout the case
• Monitor patient status, manage medications and blood products as ordered, and document all care in the EMR

Requirements
• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact
• Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR or cardiac OR nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
