Location: Sanford, North Carolina

Offers specialties including cardiology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, obstetrics, gynecology, emergency medicine, gastroenterology, hospitalist services, intensivists, nephrology, hematology, urology, podiatry, pulmonary medicine, and wound care
Certified Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center
Advanced Heart Failure Accreditation
Recognized for stroke care quality

Position Details

Department: Emergency Department
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend and some holidays
Call Requirements: None
Float Requirements: As needed
Patient Population: All ages
Number of Beds in Unit: 21 (12 telemetry beds, 3 behavioral health beds, 5 fast track rooms)
Patient Ratios: 1:5
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner

Required Qualifications & Certifications

Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency nursing
Required Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NIH Stroke Scale
- De-escalation training (HWC, CPI, or MAB)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
Education: ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing)

Skills & Experience

Must have: Emergency nursing, trauma, resuscitation, IV/IV drips, oxygen support, blood products administration, basic telemetry/EKG
Preferred: Emergency Medicine and Psychiatric ER experience
