Local Pay Rate: 

$57/Hr on w2
 

36-hrs Travel Pay Rate: 

$2506 weekly ($35/Hr W2 + $1246 weekly stipend)
 

48-hrs Travel Pay Rate: 

$3326 weekly ($40/Hr W2 + $60/hr OT + $1246 weekly stipend)

Job Description:

Special Procedure/Unit Details: 3 Medical is a Medical unit consisting of 10 private room beds and 1 observation bed. The unit is equipped to provide telemetry monitoring to 4 patients with stable dysrhythmias. Typical patient populations on the unit are patients with a variety of chronic and acute medical conditions like CA, diabetes, renal disease, COPD, pneumonia and cellulitis. The population of surgical patient includes those who have had orthopedic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and general surgical procedures. Major neurosurgical and cardiovascular surgical procedures are excluded. The population includes adult and geriatric patients and excludes pediatric patients.

Special Equipment: Safe Patient Handling Equipment & Bladder Scanner

Float Required: 2 other Med Surg Units
Weekend Coverage: Every 2nd to 3rd

Responsibilities:

• Studying patients' medical history, test results, and treatment plans.
• Tracking routine heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry measurements.
• Monitoring, interpreting, and recording data from specialized medical technologies and equipment.
• Administering medication and performing treatment interventions in consultation with healthcare specialists.
• Maintaining and updating ward charts, patient files, and medical records.
• Instructing Telemetry Unit staff on patient care and treatment plans.

Requirements:

• 2 years of RN Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience
• Preferred Previous Charge Experience
• BLS Certification
• IL State RN License
