Description
Responsibilities
• Monitor and care for PICU patients, including trach/vent and EVD management
• Titrate drips including propofol, fentanyl, epinephrine, and other medications as prescribed
• Troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment (vent, bubble CPAP, BiPAP)
• Interpret telemetry and monitor strips independently
• Collaborate with pediatricians and interdisciplinary team
• Float to pediatric units or serve as mandatory patient sitter as needed
• Participate in self-scheduling and remain flexible to fill staffing gaps
• Work every other weekend and participate in holiday rotation as needed
• Complete 2 – 12 hour shifts of unit/department-specific orientation
Requirements
Experience
• Minimum 2 years PICU experience required
• Must have EVD and trach/vent experience
• Preferred: experience with Epic and Alaris
• First-time travelers accepted
Licenses & Certifications
• RN
• BLS
• PALS
