PR: $39/hr on W2 + $1240/week Stipend
Weekly Gross Pay: $2800/ Week
Schedule: 8-Hour Days

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist to join our pathology team. The ideal candidate will have strong grossing experience and be proficient in all areas of histology and cytology preparation, including embedding, cutting, staining, and immunohistochemistry (IHC). You will assist with specimen processing and participate in limited technical activities within the department.

Responsibilities

Accurately perform gross description, dissection, and processing of biopsies and routine/moderate complexity tissue specimens under the supervision of a Pathologist or Pathology Supervisor.
Prepare histology and cytology specimens, including embedding, cutting, staining, and IHC (experience on Leica BOND MAX preferred).
Assist with accessioning, cover slipping, routine maintenance, and other technical tasks as needed.
Ensure all work follows established protocols and quality standards.s

Requirement

Current NYS license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLT), Medical Technologist (MT), or Histotechnologist (HTL).
Minimum 1+ year grossing experience, including biopsies.
Full technical proficiency in histology and cytology preparation, including IHC.
Bachelor’s degree in Science preferred but not required.
