Description
Allied – Radiation Therapist
Start Date: 12/15
Shift: Days, 5×8 hr (09:30–18:00)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Contract Length: 91 days (13 weeks)
Guaranteed Hours: Yes — subject to low-census policy (see below)
Weekends: No weekend requirement
First-timers: Accepted
Locals: Accepted — same rate
Pending License: Not accepted
Position Summary
Radiation Therapist working in a fast-paced, high-volume radiation oncology department. The role involves treating both adult and pediatric patients using multiple machines, coordinating care with therapists and physicians, and maintaining workflow in a busy outpatient setting.

- 5×8s, M–F
- 09:30–18:00 (department hours 07:00–18:00; traveler shift fixed to 09:30–18:00)
- No weekends, no call
- Block scheduling: Follows the shift above; flexible block scheduling not indicated

Low Census / Guaranteed Hours Policy
- Travelers may be called off (without charge) or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to 1 shift’s hours per 2-week cycle.
- Ambulatory/surgical services closed on weekends/holidays → travelers not scheduled during these times.
Compliance & Submittal Requirements
- Tier 1 Travel Compliance
- Deadline: 3 business days before start
- RTO max: 6 days, none during orientation
- Up to 3 job submissions allowed
- Background checks: must disclose hits/DUIs at submission
- Former UW staff: must be away 18 months before returning
- References: 2 required (prefer supervisory)
Orientation
- Allied can start any Monday
- Modules:
- Allied: 2–3 hours (non-billable)
- WA Suicide Prevention Course (if required): +6 hours (billable)
- EPIC module: completed during orientation (billable)
