HIGHLIGHTS:

• 2+ years of current OR experience required
• Proficient circulating experience required
• Scrub experience desired, but not required
• EPIC EMR experience within previous 3 years required
• Level I experience required
• No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 12 months
• Certifications: BLS (AHA)
• State Licenses: Iowa
• Will accept locals within 50 miles; 10% reduction to pay
• Weekend Description: call schedule; Fri 5p through Mon 6:30a
• Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran
• Required to work 2 of 3 (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)
• Limit of 1 day request off between 11/26/25-11/30/25 and 12/23/25-1/2/26 for all travelers regardless of holidays worked

• As a member of the interdisciplinary team, contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process
• EMR: EPIC
• Bed Size: 16
• Scrubs: provided
• Avg. caseload: Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes
• Special equipment: 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don't do many ortho joints
• How many suites: 16 OR's. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas
• Service lines: Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures
• Scrub or Circulate: both would be preferred
• Other: the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday

• At a minimum - must be proficiently experienced in the following cases: Gen, Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma (additional experience in following service lines--(Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), gyn, uro, transplants, plastics, ENT, Vascular)
