Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate has strong clinical experience in a cardiovascular or interventional cardiology setting and can work effectively in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.

This role involves assisting during cardiac catheterizations, interventional cardiology procedures, device implantation, and other diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures
• Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab
• Prepare and operate imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection-control standards
• Administer contrast media and medications as permitted by scope and facility policy
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Document all procedures accurately in EMR/PACS
• Ensure readiness of procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and anesthesia to support procedural flow
• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions

Requirements

• State licensure/certification as required by assignment location
• BLS required; ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1–2 years Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, EKG interpretation, and sterile technique
• Ability to take call as required
• Travel experience preferred but not required
