Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our rehabilitation team for a 13-week contract in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered speech therapy services, support communication and swallowing functions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to improve overall patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech therapy services tailored to each patient.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans as appropriate.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients, caregivers, and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Maintain compliance with documentation standards and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
- Active Speech Therapist license in the state of Texas (must be current).
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required.
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
- No holiday coverage required.
