Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our rehabilitation team for a 13-week contract in a long-term care and skilled nursing setting. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered speech therapy services, support communication and swallowing functions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to improve overall patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver speech therapy services tailored to each patient.
Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients, caregivers, and families on communication and swallowing strategies.
Maintain compliance with documentation standards and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

Active Speech Therapist license in the state of Texas (must be current).
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required.
Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities preferred.
No holiday coverage required.
