🎯 Job Description – Key Responsibilities

Provide direct labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
Perform ongoing maternal assessments and fetal monitoring
Assist with C-sections, inductions, and labor interventions
Prepare and manage delivery rooms, documentation & care planning
Administer IV medications and support infection control procedures
Deliver infant care and discharge teaching
Ensure emotional support and patient-centered care
Coordinate transfers and emergency responses

📌 Reporting Structure

Reports to: New Beginnings Birth Center Manager

🧩 Requirements

License/Certifications:

Active Colorado RN license — required
CPR — required
NRP + ACLS — required within 1 year of hire

Experience:

Minimum: 7 years required (as per submission criteria)
Preferred: 4+ years specifically in Obstetrics

Skills:

Proficient in labor, delivery, postpartum, newborn care
Strong sterile technique & infection control knowledge
Ability to perform under high-stress clinical situations
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

⚠️ Physical / Working Conditions

Long periods of standing & walking
Heavy lifting required
Exposure to blood, bodily fluids, odors, infectious diseases
Must adapt to changing staffing and census requirements
