Position Details

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Ottumwa, Iowa
Facility: Ottumwa Regional Health Center
Hospital System: Lifepoint Health, Inc
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: No

Patient Population

Primarily Adults
Geriatric patients

Unit Information

Department: Acute Rehabilitation
Number of Beds: 13
Patient Ratios: 1 RN to 6 patients
Equipment: Lift equipment
EHR System: Meditech

Onboarding Requirements

Must have Iowa SING BG to clear (Criminal and Child Abuse portions required)
All background checks must be fully cleared prior to start (no instant or statewide searches accepted)
Mandatory reporter certification required (Child and Adult)
Drug test must be a 10-panel screening including opiates
Titers must be within the last 12 months (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, TB)
Start dates available on Monday or Tuesday

Required Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)

Experience Requirements

Years of Experience: 1-2 years
Must Have Skills/Experience:
- At least 1 year of acute care experience
Preferred Skillset/Experience:
- Travel experience preferred but not required
- MedSurg experience, LTAC experience accepted

Common Diagnoses/Treatments

Neuro, trauma, burn, gait training/strengthening, wound vac
