Description

Title- Certified Sterile Processing Technician
Facility name- Henry Ford Hospital (Henry Ford Health System)
Location- 22101 Moross Rd Detroit, MI 48236
Shift- 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Contract: 13 weeks 
Pay Term- Weekly (By Every Friday)
Benefits: Paid orientation & sick leave (13)

Guaranteed Hours- 40hrs/week

Breakdown-
W2-$16/hr
Stipend- $490/week

Job Description:
 

Education Requirements

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
    PLUS one of the following:
  • Completion of an Aide training program, OR
  • Completion of a Central Technician program, OR
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in Central Supply

Certifications (Required)

  • NICHSPDP Certification (qualifying certification for CSP Tech)

Required Skills & Experience

  • Ability to read, write, perform basic math, and interpret temperature gauges.
  • Minimum 5 years sterile processing experience (per schedule notes).

Responsibilities

  • Clean, sterilize, assemble, and package instruments and medical devices according to departmental standards.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and distribution of sterile supplies.
  • Operate sterilization equipment and read temperature gauges accurately.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
  • Support surgical teams by ensuring timely delivery of sterile instruments.
  • Adhere to all infection control and sterilization protocols.
