Job Description: Travel RN – CVICU (Day Shift)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team in Reston, VA. This is a travel assignment designed for highly skilled nurses who thrive in fast‑paced, critical care environments.

Assignment Details

• Position Title: Travel RN – CVICU (650)
• Location: Reston, VA
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Projected Start Date: January 5, 2026
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the CVICU, ensuring adherence to evidence‑based practices.
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal outcomes.
• Administer medications, manage ventilators, and support patients requiring advanced cardiovascular interventions.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact license).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience.
• Strong clinical skills in critical care and cardiovascular nursing.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem‑solving abilities.
