• Duration: 8 weeks
• Shift: Night, 3x12-hour (18:45 – 07:15)
• Schedule Options: 4x12s (preferred 48 hours/week); 36 hours/week considered
• Positions Available: 2

About the Role

Holyoke Medical Center is seeking experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses for travel assignments. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, full-spectrum Emergency Department that serves patients of all ages and includes a locked behavioral health unit. The role is ideal for nurses with strong clinical backgrounds who thrive in high-acuity, fast-paced environments.

Key Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license or eligibility for emergency MA license.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience.
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required (first-time travelers with 2+ years of large ED experience may be considered).
• Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) – required (training provided on site)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) – required
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) – preferred

Unit Details

• Patient Population: All ages (birth through end of life), predominantly adults.
• Occasional pediatric patients (Level 1 pediatric trauma center nearby).
• Locked behavioral health unit with 12-bed capacity.
• High-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Emergency Department experience.
• Completion of 2–3 prior travel assignments.
