Description

Requirements:

Certs: ACLS, BLS
Licensure: NC RN License, Compact License
Stepdown experience required
Telemetry experience required
Prior CV surgery and vascular surgery population experience within the past year highly preferred
CVICU experience highly preferred

Typical Procedures:

Epidural management
Chest tube management
Tube feedings
IV Glucommander
Cardiac GTT management (phenylephrine, dobutamine, dopamine, milrinone, Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, ketamine)

Patient Population:

CV Surgery and Vascular Surgery
- Open heart surgery (CABG, AVR, MVR, Bentall, TAVR, etc.)
- Thoracic lung surgery (lobectomy, thoracotomy, etc.)
- Esophagogastrostomy
- AAA (open and endovascular)
- Fem-pop bypass
- Carotid endarterectomies
Overflow Medical Cardiology Patients
- Heart failure
- DKA
- Chest pain
- Sepsis
- Heart block
