Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) – Job Description

Position Summary:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) provides comprehensive clinical services, including assessments, therapy, crisis intervention, and care coordination. This role supports individuals, families, and groups in addressing behavioral health needs and improving overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Deliver crisis intervention, safety planning, and risk assessments when necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with state regulations, agency policies, and insurance requirements.
• Assist clients in accessing community resources, support services, and referrals as needed.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide case management and care coordination for clients with complex psychosocial needs.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education as required.
• Maintain ethical clinical standards consistent with the NASW Code of Ethics and licensure regulations.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
• Active LCSW license in the state of practice.
• Experience in mental health, behavioral health, counseling, or clinical social work.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) preferred
