Position: RN- PCU/MS Float (MUST be comfortable working ALL PCU and MS units


SCHEDULING DETAILS

? Contract Length/Shift Details: 3x12s, 645p-715a
**4x12s available by request
**up to 52 weeks available by request

? Charting: EPIC experience required

? Floating: Staffing needs are Re-evaluated every 4 hours, so traveler could float 2-3 times per shift (up to every 4 hours).. May be required to float to CRCH to Inpatient Rehab

? Weekend Requirement: May be EOW or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block

? Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

? Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes

? Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: Yes. Refer to the Submittal Instructions for radius rule criteria

? Pending License Accepted: Yes, only if the candidate holds a single-state license from a non-compact state. Otherwise, submission must include an active Virginia State or Compact RN/LPN license

? RTO: ALL requests must be included with the submission
**Unable to approve any Christmas RTO**

? Call Off Policy: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2-weeks


REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

? ACLS, BLS


REQUIRED CLINICAL SKILLS
=========================
? Experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration

? Skilled in central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes (Emerson/PleurEvac)

? Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, titrating cardiac drips, and responding to emergencies via Rapid Response/Code teams

? Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, administering IV insulin, and handling endocrine/metabolic conditions

? Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care (PCU/DOU/IMC), with cardiovascular experience in pre/post cardiac cath settings
