Position: Interventional Radiology (IR) Tech – Mission Hospital Location: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801 – K Tower, Floor K2 Shift: Day/Night coverage (weekends: every 7th weekend; one secondary night call during the week) Staffing: 2 single-plane (GE) and 2 biplane (Philips) rooms, plus one Invasive CT scanner Day shift: 2 techs per room + 1 nurse per room Night shift: 1 tech + 1 RN Patient ratio: 1:1 EMR: Cerner (Radnet) Requirements: Must-have: Previous IR/Cath lab experience, moderate sedation experience Certifications: BLS Preferred: Neurointerventional experience, vascular OR experience, Cath Lab, VI Registered Typical Procedures: Dialysis work (Permcaths, fistulagrams), nephrostomy tubes, arteriograms/embolizations, Y-90, G tubes, TIPS, Inari cases Cerebral arteriograms, coilings, pipelines, mechanical thrombectomies, vertebroplasties Personality Fit: Flexible, strong team player Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs Floating Areas: Vascular OR Hospital Highlights: 815-bed flagship hospital, Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, Level III NICU Only children’s hospital in the region Busiest robotic surgery program in the Carolinas Open heart and interventional cardiology only in the region Recognized by Healthgrades, Leapfrog, STS, Magnet Designation
