Travel Respiratory Therapist – Nights – 7PM-7AM

We are hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift travel contract. This is a great opportunity for candidates with strong NICU experience and the ability to work independently in a high-acuity environment. Floating between units may be required depending on department needs.

Shift: Nights 7PM-7AM
(Shift may adjust to 6PM-6AM when floating.)

About the Role

This role supports patient care in critical, non-critical, and chronic respiratory cases across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations. The right candidate will be confident managing ventilators, responding to emergency situations, and supporting NICU operations, including attending C-sections. Independent NICU experience is required.

You will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and execution of clinical respiratory care in collaboration with the care team.

Requirements

• Active RT or RCP license in the state of Louisiana
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
  (CRT may be considered depending on experience)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• NICU experience required
• Experience with ventilators, nitric oxide therapy, and respiratory protocols
• Ability to float between departments as assigned

Preferred Experience

• 1 to 3 years of respiratory care experience in acute care or NICU settings
• Experience with ventilators, oscillators, BiPAP, CPAP, arterial blood gas draws, and emergency respiratory support

Software and Systems

• Experience with EPIC is helpful but not required.
