Description
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP
Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced nursing assessment, care, and documentation of patient status during their stay in the Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) suite
- Administer medications, support patient comfort, and offer education pre-procedure, during, and post-procedure
- Perform patient assessments, conscious sedation, and hemodynamic monitoring
- Circulate and assist in scrubbing procedures, sheath removal, and patient care coordination
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper documentation throughout shifts
- Respond to call responsibilities during evenings, weekends, and holidays, with response time within 30 minutes
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Maryland or Compact State RN License at time of submission
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience in a cardiac Cath lab or related area
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with patient assessment, sedation, and hemodynamic monitoring in a cath lab environment
- Ability to float within the facility and to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
- Knowledge of inventory management and documentation protocols.
