Title: Travel Certified Surgical Technician (CST) – OR  | Deming, NM | 8-Hour Shifts

Shift: 8-hour shifts, Monday – Friday | On-call up to 15 days/month

Duration: Backfill

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) to join the operating room team. This travel assignment offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment handling Orthopedic, Endoscopic, Ophthalmology, and Gynecology cases. The CST is responsible for preparing the OR, maintaining sterile fields, managing instruments and supplies, and assisting surgeons during procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room and maintain sterile fields for surgeries.
• Set up and manage surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, fluids, and other supplies during procedures.
• Manage surgical specimens and ensure accurate counts of sponges and supplies.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
• Participate in on-call coverage up to 15 days per month.

Requirements:

• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential through NBSTSA or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification from AHA.
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience, preferably in Orthopedic, Endoscopic, Ophthalmology, or Gynecology procedures.
• Must be travel-ready and reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
