Travel RN OR

Location: Arlington, TX

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Days | 8HRS: M-F 630a-3p with on-call 2 weekday call shifts each week and 1 full weekend of call every 3 -4 weeks. Weekday call 1530-0600; Weekend call 0600-0600 next day 24 hr. call.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the OR.
• Assist in patient positioning, preparation, and safety protocols before, during, and after surgery.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure smooth operative flow.
• Document all patient care activities accurately using the EPIC electronic documentation system.
• Float to other units as needed, demonstrating adaptability and team support.

Caseload & Work Environment:

• Handle approximately 22 cases per day, managing multiple procedures efficiently.
• Work in a teaching facility dedicated to education and clinical excellence.

Patient Care Ratio:

• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:1, ensuring personalized and attentive care for each patient.

Certifications & Experience:

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CNOR certification is preferred, demonstrating specialized perioperative nursing expertise.
• Experience in orthopedic and neuro surgeries is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Da Vinci robotic surgical systems is a plus, offering candidates a chance to work with innovative surgical technology.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Strong understanding of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient safety standards.
• Flexibility to float to various units and adapt to different surgical cases.
