Description
CT Technologists needed for inpatient and Urgent Care settings in the Jacksonville, Florida area with a leading hospital system.
Several shifts available:
- 3x12s, 4x10s
- Day, Swing, Night shift available
Overview:
- Perform high-quality CT imaging using advanced equipment, assist both patients and physicians in the imaging process, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to support efficient patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor CT and related imaging systems
- Prepare patients for scans and provide support throughout procedure
- Acquire and transmit high-quality images
- Ensure patient safety, radiation protocols, and documentation standards
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging software/equipment
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize workflow and care delivery
Qualifications:
- Florida Department of Health Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant license and ARRT (CT) certification; alternatively, ARRT (N) + ARRT (CT), or ARRT (T) + ARRT (CT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Preferred:
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT accredited)
- CT imaging experience; stroke‑certified facility experience is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficient in CT imaging software and image transmission systems (e.g., Visage)
- Strong patient care skills, including IV support and CD creation for transfers
- Ability to support MSTU (Mobile Stroke Team Unit) operations, community outreach, and stroke metrics workflow enhancements
- Excellent communication, technical troubleshooting, and teamwork capabilities
