Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT - Night Shift - Corpus Christi, TX
Now hiring an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time night shift travel assignment in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role offers competitive weekly pay, schedule stability, and the opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute care environment supporting a wide range of patient populations.
Shift Details
Night shift schedule: 6:30PM - 6:30AM
Every other weekend rotation required
Full-time contract assignment
Position Overview
The Respiratory Therapist will provide care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. This includes ventilator support, advanced respiratory treatments, and direct involvement in emergency response situations. Candidates must be confident working independently and able to support high-acuity patient needs.
Job Duties Include
- Emergency response including Code Blue and respiratory distress events
- Ventilator setup, monitoring, and management
- Aerosolized medication administration
- BiPAP and CPAP support
- Airway management, suctioning, and maintaining respiratory devices
- Respiratory assessments and care planning
- EPIC electronic charting
- Maintaining equipment cleanliness, stocking, and compliance with safety and regulatory protocols
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams
Advanced Skills May Include
- Nitric oxide therapy
- Oscillation therapy
- Pulmonary function testing
- Bronchoscopy assistance
- Transport support for critical patients
Required Experience and Credentials
- Active RRT license in the state of Texas or compact eligibility
- Current BLS required
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP preferred
- At least 1 year of recent experience as an RRT
- EPIC experience required
- Experience with Hamilton ventilators required
Work Environment
Acute care setting with varied patient acuity including adult ICU, pediatrics, and neonates.
