Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Med Surg/Telemetry / PCU team. The RN will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals requiring continuous monitoring, step-down support, and complex medical management. This role requires strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licensure

• Active and Unencumbered RN License in the state of practice (or compact license if applicable).

Certifications

• Required:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA
• Preferred:
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Telemetry/ECG Certification
  • PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurse)

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of recent experience in Med Surg, Telemetry, or PCU.
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, or similar).

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong communication and patient-interaction abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Ability to handle high-acuity patients in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Extended periods of standing, walking, and patient interaction.
• Ability to respond quickly to patient emergencies.
