Description
32 bed SURGICAL UNIT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE CARING FOR PATIENTS AFTER VASCULAR, THORACIC, COLORECTAL AND GENERAL SURGERY.
The most common diagnosis’s on their unit: ARDS, esophagectomies, whipples, sepsis
LNA ratios to patients: 1: 7-11 (unit shares with PCU)
RN Patient ratios on days is 4:1 and on nights is 5:1
Would they expect the traveler to float: yes
Required Experience:
- Chest tubes
- Tubes
- Drips such as Diltiazem, heparin, Lasix, insulin, or amiodarone
- Lines/Tubes/drains for post-surgical patients
- Trachs/Laryngectomies
- Telemetry
- Complex wounds
- Central Lines – care and maintenance and blood draws
