Title: RN OR/CVOR 
Pay Rate: $90/Hour 
Location: San Diego, CA
Schedule: 3x12 - Days
Duration: 13 Weeks with possible extensions 

Job Description / Key Responsibilities

1. Provide patient and family-centered care that supports holistic, individualized goals.
2. Develop a plan of care collaboratively with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
   • Use the nursing process to ensure safe, therapeutic care.
   • Document plans of care (IPOC) including patient/family involvement.
3. Implement and adapt age-appropriate and culturally appropriate interventions based on the care plan.
   • Seek additional resources when encountering new or complex situations.
   • Make compliant nursing decisions appropriate to the plan of care.
4. Evaluate patient progress toward goals and adjust plans/interventions as needed.
   • Participate in patient care conferences.
   • Document patient responses and outcomes.
5. Identify and respond to patient/family educational needs through individualized teaching plans.
6. Evaluate learning effectiveness using adult-learning principles and revise plans accordingly.
7. Identify communication barriers and collaborate with interdisciplinary resources to support therapeutic relationships.
   • Adapt interventions based on socio-cultural needs.
8. Serve as a patient advocate by promoting participation in decision-making and protecting individual/family rights.
9. Communicate care needs effectively through accurate documentation per department policies.
10. Delegate tasks appropriately within scope and competency of team members.
11. Coordinate and integrate care with the broader healthcare team to promote patient well-being.
12. Collaborate with ancillary staff to support workflow efficiency and patient progress.

Skills / Requirements

• CA RN license
• CPR certification
• Strong CVOR experience required
• Must complete and submit OR Questionnaire
• Will assist in other OR cases when no heart cases are scheduled (Ortho, Neuro, Robotics)

Experience

• Minimum 3 years recent RN experience
• Minimum 2 years recent specialty experience (CVOR/OR)
