Labor and Delivery Nurse (2 years)

Description

MUST BE DEC START DATE

Either 3X12 or 4X12 is acceptable

Administration of blood & blood products

Amnioinfusion

Antihypertensives

APGAR scores

Assist with high risk delivery

Assist with sterile speculum exam (effacement, dilation, station, presentation)

Assist with vaginal delivery, Bladder Distension, Breastfeeding Support/lactation support

Cesarean Section, Circulate for C-section, Collect cord samples, Cord Care, Couplet Care

Diabetes mellitus

Discharge teaching to parents

Epidural Anesthesia, Episiotomy/Incisional Care, Foley catheter insertion/management

Preterm labor, Prostaglandins, Recognition and Treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, Recover C-Section, Reflex checks / edema assessment / clonus, Starting and maintaining IVs

Terbutaline, Thermoregulation, Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring), Use of Electric/Manual breast pump, Use of External Fetal Monitoring, Use of infusion pumps / drips / IV monitoring, Use of Internal Fetal Monitoring, Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration, Use of PCA (IV)
