Requirements

• Active Alaska RN license required at time of submission (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of LTC RN experience required
• BLS certification required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates not accepted (permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility)

Assignment Details

• Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks (Traveler’s Choice)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 5×8 Variable
  • Traveler will work either straight days or straight nights
  • Exact shift assignment will be determined closer to the start date based on facility staffing needs
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Floating: Yes, within scope of practice
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2-week pay period
  • Traveler may be called off for one 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
• Requested Time Off (RTO): Considered based on request

Housing & Transportation (Provided by Facility)

• Housing and a rental vehicle are provided for the duration of the assignment
• Housing is typically a one-bedroom apartment
• Move-in available no earlier than 72 hours prior to contract start and no later than 24 hours after contract end
• Pets are not allowed
• Housing is generally intended for single occupancy; additional occupants require facility approval
• Traveler is responsible for cleaning the unit upon departure; cleaning fees may apply if not properly cleaned

Vehicle Information:

• Facility will provide a rental or facility-owned vehicle
• Vehicle available no earlier than 72 hours prior to contract start and no later than 24 hours after contract end
• Only the traveler is authorized to operate the vehicle
• Traveler must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
• Traveler’s personal insurance policy must include rental car coverage
• Vehicle use is limited to local travel only (within a 30-mile radius)
• Vehicle may not be taken off-road
• Vehicle must be returned clean and with a full tank of gas
• Vehicle must be returned during any scheduled time off and reissued upon return
• Tire chains available upon request at an additional cost billed to the traveler
