Certification & Experience Requirements

• Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT required)
  • CRT not accepted
• Minimum Experience: 1 year
• First-time travelers accepted

Scheduling & Work Expectations

• Weekends: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Floating: Yes — within the facility and scope of practice as needed

Requested Time Off (RTO)

• Maximum: 7 days

Holiday Requirements

• If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it
• If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two

Recognized Major Holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving / Black Friday
• Christmas Eve / Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day

Compliance & Orientation

• Full compliance required to start on time
  • Failure to meet compliance deadlines will result in a 2-week start delay due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule
• Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours:
  • Determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment)

Candidate Review Process

• Candidates will undergo a clinical screen to determine clinical fit
• If clinically approved and within Piedmont guidelines, the candidate will be forwarded to the Hiring Manager for final decision
• Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis
