- Adults to Geriatrics
Certification Requirements
- Flu Vaccine: Required : Medical or Religious exemptions only
- BLS: Required
- ACLS: Required
Unit & Clinical Requirements
- Care of post–open heart surgery (OHS) patients
- Management of vascular patients
- Experience with LVAD patients
- Experience caring for Impella patients
Staffing & Census
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1–2
- Unit Size: 10 beds
- Average Daily Census: 8 patients
Systems & Equipment
- EMR: Epic
- Medication & Supply Systems: Pyxis
- Communication Tool: SBAR
Scheduling & Work Expectations
- Weekends: Every other weekend unless specified elsewhere
- Floating: Yes, as needed throughout the facility
- On-Call: Not specified
- Scrub Color: Navy Blue
- Requested Time Off (RTO): Maximum of 7 days
Holiday Requirements
- If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it
- If two major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work both
- If three major holidays fall during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work two
Recognized Major Holidays:
- New Year’s Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 31 & Thursday, January 1
- Memorial Day: Monday, May 26
- Independence Day: Friday, July 4
- Labor Day: Monday, September 1
- Thanksgiving / Black Friday: Thursday, November 27 & Friday, November 28
- Christmas Eve and Day: Wednesday, December 24 & Thursday, December 25
Compliance & Orientation
- Full compliance required to start on time
- Failure to complete compliance in time will result in a 2-week start delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedules
- Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) Hours:
- Determined by contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment)
Aya Offer Information
- Once the candidate has signed and confirmation has been sent, the manager has 48 hours to review the profile and determine unit, schedule, and expertise fit
- Aya Offer is available only if the candidate passes clinical review within RTO guidelines and meets all facility-specific requirements
