Shift: 8 hours, days

Shift Requirements: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Weekends required Job Description: The technologist will assist with procedures and provide diagnostic support by performing organ and body scans on patients. Responsibilities include: Preparing and positioning patients while accurately selecting anatomical and technical parameters Preparing and administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and state/federal regulations Observing patients during procedures and reporting any abnormal activity Monitoring imaging protocols and recommending updates or refinements as needed Following all radiation safety procedures and guidelines Performing specialized imaging procedures including angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures Assisting Radiologists/PAs during interventional procedures Ensuring all activities comply with regulatory and accrediting agency standards Licensure / Certification / Registration Requirements: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross accepted) Cardiographic Tech credential from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) — required prior to hire or transfer ARRT Radiologic Technologist – Radiography certification — required prior to hire or transfer (any specialty accepted) Illinois Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (required, along with ARRT certification) Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI — preferred Education / Experience: High school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of cumulative experience, OR Associate’s/Technical degree, OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
