CLINICAL PRESCREEN / AUTO OFFER DETAILS Fingernail Policy: Artificial nails are strictly prohibited in all patient care departments. Refusal to remove artificial nails will result in termination of the contract. Radius Rule: Candidates must live 50+ miles from the facility. Candidates cannot be full-time, part-time, or PRN employees at any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health. A driver’s license is required at submission and will be used to verify mileage. RN Orientation Exam: Pass/Fail exam administered on Friday during orientation Open-book exam based on skills learned All necessary resources are provided Must score 90% or higher to pass; failure results in termination Certifications Required BLS NRP Unit Details Ratios: 1:3 Mom/Baby couplets 1:1 Laboring patients (case-dependent) Experience Required: No strict minimum, but must be able to independently manage labor, delivery, and postpartum NICU experience is a plus Blocked Scheduling: Prefer a flexible schedule; blocked scheduling not guaranteed Patient Types / Common Diagnoses: Level 1 maternal care Low-risk births Occasional magnesium sulfate (mag) and gestational diabetes (GDM) patients Common Drips: Insulin Magnesium sulfate Pitocin Equipment: Alaris IV pumps Charge Nurse: Charge nurse present on each shift Charge nurse does take an assignment Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend Floating Requirements: This is a closed unit; no floating required
